i tried to use tmpgenc to directly encode an svcd to vcd but it said the file is unsupported .. next i tried demuxing it with tmpgenc and still the m1v file cudn't be opened .. then i went for dvd2avi ..and yes i got a working frameserved file.. but when i encoded it with tmpgenc i find that the video is a bit jerky no lets says freezes in microseconds and is noticable during playback... i did notice the same problem when i demuxed .vob(dvd) files using dvd2avi .... is it a problem with dvd2avi or sumthin' else ...

but when i used dvd2svcd to rip and convert my dvds to vcd i did get a very good quality output without probs ... i find that dvd2avi is used here without any errors ... how is that done ? cant it be solved without writing up scripts with avisynth? how can i directly use .d2v file without the probs i mentioned ...
