  1. Been down loading AVI files, and trying to convert them to Mpeg file so i can play them on my home DVD, Which does play VCD with Mpeg files
They do not seem to transfer right with my computer CD burner.
Some one said here, that regular data cd's and a regular burner should work
I have read all the help pages here, and the tmpgen notes but can't find out the problem.
Tmpgen does not read my CD burner but rather converterts the AVI files to a file on my hard drive.
Am i tring to do something not possible or am I mi9ssing something?
    Thanks so much, bewildered newbie

  2. First, you must use TMPG to encode your Avi files to mpeg files which will be saved onto your hard drive, thats what it is used for. You will need a seperate piece of software to burn the mpeg files from your hard drive onto a cd in vcd format. For the burning of the disc you can use any numberof programs(Nero,Easy cd creator, or others). Anything that supports the burning of vcds.
