  1. I have a couple of movies(avi's) that I downloaded and when played back on the computer, it is blocky in a lot of places. What causes this and is there anyway I can fix them. Thanks

no. try to download larger files if you can. that is caused when they try to fit a movie on one disc.

  3. It was a large file, around 750 MB. I never converted it to MPG yet because of the blockiness. It shows up that way on my computer before converting and fitting on a disk.

that's what i'm talking about. that is too small a file. it has to be at least 900 mb to a gig to look right.

actually,i have files that are smaller(600mb) where the quality is great.

it all depends on if the dvd was ripped by someone that knew what they were doing.

rkelsey: you probably have a very poorly ripped file. unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to fix it.

  6. Thanks, I guess I can delete those files. Most of my movies are around 700MB and they were all fine, just a few lately that aren't so good.
