    i have 13 mpeg2 files. ideally, i'd like to edit out some footage and then make a regular dvd to watch on regular dvd players.

    what are the basic steps to take for editing?
    what are the basic steps for getting the video on dvd?

    i'd prefer to do this on my mac but could use my pc if it's easier.

    within Toast, for mac, what is the difference between buring a VCD and a DVD?

    if i just drag mpeg2 files onto toast and burn a dvd, why doesn't the burned dvd work in a dvd player?
