  4. Bulkpaq media is cheap and as a result will not give you the quality you require for playback on a standalong DVD player.

As a rule you only get what you pay for and l have found Verbatim Datalife Plus Media the way to go. I know they are pricey but as l said you only get what you pay for. Just for the record l have used and tried all the different media's and wasted lots of money in doing so. P.S Nero is not a really good burner for DVD's great for CD's try Prassi Primo combined with the Verbatim Media you will be very happy with the results. YOU WILL STILL REQUIRE A DVD PLAYER WHICH CAN PLAY DVD-R COPIES OTHERWISE YOU WILL JUST GO ROUND IN CIRCLES. Look for players to have the ability for copy cr-r playback, vcd's or even mp3's as your guide to compatability. 8)

  5. Bassically the gen 3 purple top disks are crap for films, everyone has the same locking up problems after 50 mins.

There new gen 4 green top disks however work perfect. There are 2X and available at around the same price, I have burnt several and had no problems in lots of different players.

Another good disk at about the same price is the datasafe datawrite classic, also 2x.

Though I prefer the green top bulkpaq.

    Hope this helps.

I have had no problems with gen 3 purple discs...
My pioneer dv-454 loves those discs... (it loves all discs )

but my friends old dvd-players wont work... only in the new players...

(Nero is also very sh*t software to burn DVD's)

use always the "image"-method it gives you much better result in compatibility issues...
