What model of graphic card and what is your motherboard model? AGP or PCI-E? Is it the correct voltage card for your motherboard? Did you uninstall your old video card drivers before changing cards? If not, it may be trying to use the wrong drivers.

Not sure about the DDR 400 error. Does it share memory with your RAM memory?

    Its :

A: Disable onboard video , set to agp slot , save changes
B: As system gose to reboot , turn off , remove power lead , disconnect vga cable
C: Insert new graphics card , connect vga cable to new card , reconnect power lead , and turn pc back on
D: When windows ask's for drivers , tell it to get lost
E: Insert driver's disc for graphics card , and install
F: Reboot to apply changes ... done .

Best to download the latest drivers from chipset manufacturer ... nvidia .

Problems with video playback and games can appear when drivers on cd supplied are out of date and not current ... or stupid manufacturer of card supplies "developers" drivers instead .

They supplied my card with "pci-e developers" instead of those for "agp" .
