  1. Is there any way to reduce an avi movie from 1400Mb, ie 2 CDs, to one that is half that. I have joined the two sections together using VirtualDub, but can the next step be done?

  2. Reencode it with divx with a higher compression ratio (lower bitrate). You can do this with virtualdub

  4. In vdub select video then compression, select the compression codec you want to use, ie divx, you need to have this installed on your system. Then select configure and enter the bitrate you want to use. To determine your bitrate use a bitrate calculator. You can get one here.
