  1. Just ripped a 4:3 DVD. Some scatches near the outside of the source DVD. (scratches begin approx. 1 inch from the outside edge and extend to the edge) These scratches did not affect the playback of the source DVD on my home DVD player or my PC DVD player. But, made 2 coasters of Memorex DVD-R. The burned Memorex's seemed to screw up about where these scratches are on the source DVD. So, the question: Will slight to moderate scratches affect the ripper's ability to deCSS the source DVD? (I'm using SmartRipper) Also, any opinion on Memorex DVD-R? Thanks tons!
