I'm trying to encode a DivX file to MPEG, but Cinema Craft Encoder tells me the file type is unsupported (div3). Premiere gives me a similar message if I try to load the file. This file will play fine, however, in windows media player. It's been suggested that I simply frameserve the file, but I'd like an actual fix to the problem instead of trying to work around it. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything. Nothing works.
Thanks for any help!

Are you using the genuine DivX 3 codecs ? or just getting number 4 or 5 to handle them?
Try installing DivX 3 and see how that goes, personally I have number 3 and 4 installed independantly on My system, and 5 gets installed and then uninstalled when Im finished with it. It cause serious problems for My system.
good luck
