Yep, use the UDF filesystem to burn files larger than 2Gb.

Do you expect this to play in a standalone DVD player? If so you have to author it as DVD-video and then burn. I suggest you read one or two of the ripping, authoring and/or burning guides on this site before you start making coasters.

  3. after encoding with TMEGEnc to a mpeg2 ( or m2v file ?), what did you author the mpg / m2v-ac3 file with ? If I am correct only 1 Gb vob files can be played back on a DVD player as that is part of the DVD specification / file structure.

  5. Nero does not author, it just burns

for a DVD to be here are the steps ( and I am going to be basic about it ).

    Assuming it over 4.3 Gb.....

    1. Rip the VOB files ( thre main movie only ) to the hard drive.

    2. Framse serve the vob files with DVD2AVI for TMPEGEnc,
extracting either a WAV file or a AC# file in addtion to D2V file.

    3. Load the D2V file and the Wav / or AC3 filein TMPEGEnc and render away to either a MPEG2 or M2V file. If it's a M2V file then mux with the AC3 file in TMPEGEnc under tools.

    4. Author the mpeg 2 file in DVD Workshop or any thoer DVD Authoring program, all that build the VOB , IFO, BUP file for the burn, most of the authoring programs burn....

    5. or after the authoring program makes a new VIDEO_TS folder with the neccesary VOB, BUP, and IFO files, burn in NERO as DVD Video.
