I have an avi file that when I play on the computer is about 84 minutes in length. However, when I try to use TMPGEnc it gives the file length of more than tripple the length (254 min). I am going to try to use this program to "squeeze" it on an 80 min CD. I think I can tweak some of the values if I can get it to recognize it as an 84 min file rather than a 254 min file.
Thanks for any help.

Open the avi file in virtualdub. If it gives a warning about VBR audio, that is your problem. Try searching the forum for the solution, it has been discussed frequently.
