A small suggestion I'd like to make. I think it should be mandatory that any registered member posting in the help forums should have their computer details listed in their profile otherwise they can't post. This would mainly affect newcomers to the forum. I've seen too many posts that could have been quickly answered if only the posters details had been there in the first place. I myself have spent way to much time trying to help someone only to have to drag the details out of them and only if I had known the aforementioned details I could have answered the question more than likely in one post. This might help cut down on the number of useless posts.
    Just my 2 cents worth.

I'm glad you have 6 systems. I have 3. So what? You completely missed the point of my post and since your obviously a newbie this is not unexpected. The feedback section is mainly for Baldrick to consider options and make improvements in the forum. If you'd been around longer you'd know this. As to the last part of your post which I shouldn't even bother to reply to, I never stated I didn't want to reply. It just would make it a lot simpler to help someone and that is the point isn't it?

Settle down man. I personally like your suggestion, and I'm sure it would be very easy to implement. Plus there is no reason for people not to supply the information. However, what jeepers94 said is true. What if a person was using computer #2, but the details in their profile is for computer #1. They would then have to post the details regardless on the profile information; however, I feel that most people would use the same computer that they list for most operations.

  6. I think most of the time, it will be useless. Unless in their case, it does matter, and that they didn't lie, and that they didn't do it from another computer. Some newbies can't even tell what they got in their machine, so? And I didn't fill mine either, for I don't think it matters much, and I have more than one too.
