  1. First when I load the IFO file its not the same length as the dvd states..

Example, I load in Armegeddon-- DVD2SVCD says movie length is 2:43, but the dvd box says its 151 minutes (2:31)..

Second, when I choose 800 cd size in the bitrate settings, then I encode in CCE 2.5 the log says that cce is using cd size is 740..

Also, is 9 1/2 hours for encoding about right for this length of movie?
    Using these settings.

    Force film on in dvd2avi
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CCE 2.5 settings are as folows:

    Anti Noise Filter: 2
    Passes: 2
    Image Quality: 17
    VAF file creation: On
    Video Encoding Mode: Multipass VBR
    Min. bitrate: 300
    Max. bitrate: 2530
    Avg. Bitrate: 2230
Aspect Ratio: 16:9 (borders added, encoded as 4:3)
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

    No audio downsizing ( 192@48 )

  2. do 3 passes if you want decent results...4 passes if ya got the time and it sounds like you don't.

Don't worry about it...dvd2avi will analyze the total time of the movie. But the rule is set your bitrate parameters according to what dvd2svcd says is the movie length.
