    i pretty sure i burned it correctly, it plays fine on my dvd-rom but my stand alone player doesnt read the disk...i have a samsung m101...can someone help me

    This can only means 2 things;

    1. Your standalone DVD player can't play VCD (on r/rw?)
    2. It's not a fully standard VCD after all!

    Hint; check the guides "How to..." and compare all settings.

    Try using a CR-RW not a CD-R.
