  1. I am trying to convert an MPEG Layer-3 at 96bit rate to a VCD format so that i can watch it on my dvd player that is hooked up to my tv.

    if anyone knows how to do this coversion, if you could please let me know, all i can find are converting programs that convert Layer1 and Layer2 files. Any helping knowledge on this topic would be of much help.

    MPEG Layer-3 is Audio, not video. I think you are confused. VCD is video And Audio, AFAIK, you van't have one without the other.

    Many DVD players will play Mp3 Audio tracks when burnt to CDR as data.
