  1. is there a way to boost the audio on a ripped dvd i find the audio a bit low i am using smart ripper and tmpeg
    is there a way to keep the 5.1 surround sound or is that going to make the vcd to big

  2. A) No way to keep 5.1 surround sound on VCD, old topic that has been covered several times.

    B) You can demux 5.1 track to wav using a app like Azid, many options on this app to make very good regular Dolby Surround, then encode to mp2, using the toolame plugin in TMPG.

  4. to boost the audio you can simply use the "normalize" function while encoding the video with tmpeg (i believe it was under --> advanced--> audio settings)
