i know this topic has been discuss over and over.. but i cant seem to get it work properly as i still have that pause problem wether i rempeg, cce or tmpgenc..
i used ifoedit 0.6 tought it does solve the problem but it got its own issues too i makes the video on the fast forward mode.. creating a problem with audio being out of sync..
i could have use spruceup or whatever kind of program but i wanted to keep the original menu and the only way i know how to do it is through ifoedit unless some of u know another way pls. tell me or point me to a site with a detailed "how to" that would be great ...
any reply would be greatly appreciated... thx

ok just for u Enemy..
anyways what i wanted to do is remux using ifoedit but ive got tons of problems using it... i transcode using rempeg, cce and tmpgenc.. but all have the same problem when i remux it back using ifoedit whether its the new version(0.94) or the old(0.6)..
it skips or pauses(whatever u wanna call it) every half sec or full sec and i can never get it to work properly... is it because im using WinXp? or maybe not.
if ifoedit really is the problem is there any other way i can make my transcoded video file work and at the same time use the original menu?
thx

If you transcoded with ReMPEG and remuxed with ifoedit .06 that its not the problem, ifoedit 06 does that very very well.
TMPGEnc and CCE on the otherhand transcode doesn't work so well with... if at all, especially .06. -
is it?
i cant really remember if ive tried rempeg with 0.6 but i will when i get home.. i remember once someone told me that rempeg is slower than the three and quality wise not as good as cce and tmpgenc.. but ill see if thats true.. anyways thx for the reply..

It is slow and it is lower quality then the others, but its also the bestone to use with IfoEdits Remux, there are now working CCE/TMPGenc methods out there but I myself have not tried them.

flaystus,
ur right about the rempeg that works with ifoedit 0.6 when remux and the quality is acceptable although not as good as cce, tmpgenc(just a little bit).. but i can live with it..
its about 25% slower than tmpgenc if u could imagine that!..
but anyways thats the one that works so im happy now.. thx for ur help though...
btw. keep up the good work on ur guides..

Dont' have a direct link right now but go over to the doom9.org forums and into the ifoedit area, they were talking about it just the other day. I myself have not tried them.

I've found that rempeg's quality is no good nowdays. What u should be looking into to keep original menu and extras if u chose to is CCE dvd Maestro dvd to avi and ifo update. And of course ifoedit to complete it. Check out www.doom9.org and look at the guides for all these programs and it will yield wonderful results. If you are patient, I'm sure derrow is getting close to allowing you to remux a cce encoded .m2v file when he does he will be more of a god than he is currently
