mov->svcd trick..

i've only succesfully (from current tests run) gotten a VERY small vob to convert directly in mpeg2enc (movtoy4m to mpeg2enc) with appending .mov to the end of the file name ( a file 1:29 seconds in size) otherwise i get the error "## Component Manager: attempting to find symbols in a component alias of type (eat /MOV / )"

any ideas?

The component manager message is not an error, it is normal output.

but it doesnt show that error when i works correctly, it shows a blank line while converting and then encoding complete when its finished.. when i get that error it goes straight through and makes no output file...

i emailed u about the problems i was havin and u never got back to me... i've tried several different things to get certain vob files to work with the trick, even after fixing the improper timestamp and remuxing it still wont read 95% of what i try to feed in... when i appen the .mov suffix and try to open it in qt certain files will open in qt still, those are the files that work, but most of the files that i add the suffix with and then try to open dont open in qt and invariably dont work in movtoy4m-- any ideas?
