is there a program that will cut a svcd file, when i use TMPGEnc is freezes up when i try to chop up the second half, also is there a program that will cut the divx avi file besides virtual dub, when i try to save the second avi file virtual dub says audiostream source era..tia

I use bbMPEG to cut all my MPEG files. But you have to demux the MPEG first. As and aside you can tell TMPGenc to only encode a certain range to avoid having to cut. Click on settings, and then the advance tab. Click on 'source range' and select the start/end frame to encode (there's a time stamp in the top left and a preview window).
For cutting DivX I use VDub, but as much as possible I try not to cut them. Most of the ones i d/load are less than 700MB and I don't make my own so...
