  1. I saw a guide using FitCD to make a 1CD mpeg for a DIVX that i downloaded. Using the exact same bitrate Fit CD gave me, in TMPGenc via CBR, the file size still blew out to over 900MB when i entered 1 80 min CD in fit cd.

    why?

FitCD also gives you a bitrate for audio, did you use the audio bitrate FitCD gave you? I have found FitCD to be very accurate.

This is just a suggestion, but I read somewhere recently that using versions 4 & 5 of divx makes it difficult if not impossible to calculate file sizes because of the way it encodes.

  5. I have found that fitCD incorrectly detects the length of the source movie - by like 20 minutes - at least dv2 files.

Just make sure you input the proper length in the upper left hand corner of the program. Once you do that it's dead on accurate.
