  1. Hi,

    Sorry for the newbie question, but I'm stuck!!

    Followed the rules for avi to vcd:-

    virtual dub for bad frames check, then save wav

    tmpgenc for making mpeg (pal)

    nero for making vcd

    checked vcd contents and all is should be, as far as I can tell!!

    put in dvd player (video cd) no disc

    any ideas, help.

    Not sure if I'm getting the whole ntsc/pal thing, do you have to keep the same format when making an mpeg?

  2. Is your DVD player compatible with VCD and CDR, not all are. Check the DVD compatability list

    Try VCDEasy for authoring your VCD. Like you, I never succeded in making a VCD my standalone DVD would accept. VCDEasy works each and every time.

    checked the player compatible list and it looks like it my sony doesn't like cd-r's. videocd no problem!!


    will try cd-rw's
