  1. OK...... when i try to open a movie (just wit Xvid Codec) i get a message that says error not supported and doesnt open. So i went to Environmental Settings and changed the Media setting from -1 to +1. It is just that the mpeg conversion is a little moer "choppier" then the original *avi. movie. Is that normal? Like what does that setting actually do? Is there a way in which i can open the file and convert it as "clean" as the original movie??

  2. You can open the Xvid avi right, thats all changing the vfapi priorities did, allowed that to happen.
If you have choppy/jerky video its a different problem. My 1st guess would be you encoded in Tmpgenc to a different frame rate than the original avi. Check this and re-encode to the same frame rate or look in the guides on how to do standards conversion.

    Hope this helps.
