  1. Latley i've got some problems with audio.
When i start VirtDub to sub my movie i get the following message.
"The reguested audio compression is not compatible with the input format.Check that the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format"
Now i tried to seperate the sound of the movie with "Save wav"
And then i insert it to Tempgenc to make a vcd.
When it is ready the sound of the movie sounds horrible.
I already tried to save it first as vcd and then make another avi but that doesn't work.
When i look at the Avi Information on VirtDub by Audio Stream it says"Compression unknow[tag 2000]
Is there somebody who had the same problem, so he or she can help me with it.
Hope there is someone with some answers.

  2. Assuming the audio in the original Avi/Divx is ok....
First download Nimo Codec Pack (for audio codecs),
then use this to extract the audio:
    http://www.vcdhelp.com/virtualdubaudio.htm
then use resulting WAV as audio source in TMPGE to encode.

  3. Thx for your reply.wee Haggis.
I already installed Nimo codec pack.
    I did the same as
    http://www.vcdhelp.com/virtualdubaudio.htm
But still the sound is no good.
Now i am gonna try the VirtDub 1.3c instead of 1.4c.
And i will try that dBpowerAmp Music Converter.
I will post the result of it as soon as i tried that.
    Thx again M8

TMPGEnc does a horrendous job of downsampling from 48 to 44Khz. When using TMPGEnc to process your audio on (S)VCD, use and external plug-in SSRC available here:
    http://shibatch.sourceforge.net/download/ssrc-1.29.zip
After installing, launch TMPGEnc and go to Option/Environment setting/External tool/Sampling frequency convertor/Use and browse to where you put the SSRC plug-in. Takes a little extra processing time but result is well worth it.

  5. I convert the audio frequency during the WAV extraction in Virtualdub.
No need to use TMPGE for that.
