    Hello everyone!

First allow me to bullet point the irony in my problem... I am a very tech-savvy nerd that is starting up a video series on social-video sites (youtube, metacafe, etc.)... however, while I know how to fix networks, viruses, and a vast array of other computer what nots... I am very green when it comes to video editing, preparation, and post-production.

Here is my set up at the moment:

    Computer:
    -Macbook Pro 17" Santa Rosa
    -2.4ghz dual core
    -2gb ram
    -100gb free hard drive space

    Camera:
-iSight firewire (good enough for now)

    Mic:
    -Blue Snowball

    Software:

    -Screenflow (to capture the screen)
-Finalcut Express (to handle editing/clipping, title scenes, transitions)
-Adobe Soundbooth CS4 (to fix the audio since my mic doesn't seem to be loud enough... also I take out some background noise coming from my computer)

So my main problem is audio syncing.

Screenflow exports a .mov file suitable for the web (AAC, H.264) and the audio is all in sync and fine... but by the time I get done cutting it and refining it in Final Cut, I export it and the video is slightly out of sync with the audio.

Then after I clean up the audio in Soundbooth and export it again (in AAC, H.264), the audio is insanely out of sync.

    My other problem is compression.

    Cliff's notes:

I am trying to start a web series online where I record myself and do a screen capture, but i have no idea how to efficiently go from A (recording) to B (finished file ready to be uploaded).

Any help would greatly be appreciated... even a link to a tutorial on "how to start a web series" would be helpful.

I will be more than happy to include some credits in my videos as a thank you for any help you can provide.

Editing h264 video with aac audio often cause such problems so I wouldn't export to it if you are later going to edit it again.

Can you change audio and video codec in screenflow? Use something less compressed and better designed for editors like like mjpeg, uncompressed video and wav/lpcm audio.

Good to know, good to know...

And yes, I can export to pretty much anything in Screenflow... so tell me what would be the best options to choose and I'll see if I can pick them =).

I uploaded a screenshot of all the options it gives to export.
