can't convert all avi to mpeg using tmpgenc

I've done a lot of converting avi files to mpegs to be playable on my dvd player. But now I can't seem to convert any recent downloads. I'm doing th esame thing as usual but when its converting, you can't see anything on the preview screen. Also the finished product plays only sound and no video. Please help.

maybe try increasing the priority of your directshow reader in the environmental settings

under options make the value a 4 by right click increse the direct show
