Hi there, I am new to all this and thought I would check with you guys to see if it is possible to convert the main mt2s file from a Blu-Ray disk to MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 using the latest version of TMPGEnc 4.0.

    I thought I could:

    1. Extract the Blu-Ray to my hard disk using AnyDVD HD.
    2. Import the main mt2s file to TMPGEnc 4.0 & convert to x264 MP4.
    3. Copy the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 file to Blu-Ray/DVD9 to complete the backup process.

I am keen to understand the best process to backup my Blu-Rays and archive them off to external hard disk/blu-ray or DVD9. I have plenty of external hard disk space and an LG Blu-Ray bunrer.

    Thanks

It might work if you have installed ffdshow (and maybe haali media splitter) to decode the m2ts(you should be able to play the m2ts in windows media player).

Or else use Ripbot264, open the m2ts and convert....basicly.
