    Here is my issue
when i went on vacation I accidently put a DVD-ROM mini disk into my camcorder
As my vacation continued other disks were DVD-R

I also used a second camcorder that recorded on a SD Memory card
Now,back home i want to put ALL of the video onto one or two full size DVDs for my friends to watch

I quickly found out that the VRO File from the DVD ROM and the VOB file from the DVD-Rs wont drag into windows movie maker OR Nero
I WAS sucessfull at copying everything to my Laptop though
Hence i need something that will convert VRO and VOB to another Format

2 people suggested Super C from erightsoft.............i went to thier webpage and was completely baffled about what link to click on to download what i needed

I have a MacIntosh PC also but when i put a USB between the camcorder and Mac............it sees the disk insde the camcorder as a .exe file and wont do anything with it.

I am hoping someone here can post a link and a few instructions

I also hace a San-Disk V-Mate,if all else fails could i drag the files onto a 4gb Memory card and then play it back in real time into a VCR and record it on tape OR will the V mate Not recognize the VRO and VOB files?
I ask this because i dont want to invest the $100 into a 4gb card if it wont work

    thanks in advance

You can use tmpgenc dvd author or ulead dvd workshop or ulead dvd moviefactory to import the vobs and vros directly(select to import dvd and choose the folder with the vob, vros) and then edit and burn.

You can use Avidemux (free program) to convert .VRO file to .MPG file.

A .vro is an MPEG file, so you're not really converting anything.

Yes I am aware of mpeg streamclip and I have used it successfully. My added twist has to do with the minidvd upon which my Canon DC230 recorded the .vro file. I can put the minidvd in an external dvd drive. Streamclip sees the file, but within 5 seconds it crashes and gives me the message that Streamclip has closed unexpectedly, with the option of reporting the bug to Apple. Unfortunately, though I have emailed the developer about the issue, I have received no response. On a pc I was able to copy the .vro file from the original minidvd and burn it to a new regular sized dvd. On my mac, Streamclip saw that file and opened it without issue. This is a cumbersome work-around and defeats my having switched to mac. It might just be the brand of the minidvd, but I doubt it. Any help here? P.S. that is why I was interested in Avidemux, but I think Avidemux will not open a .vro file.
