I have just bought the Philips DVDRW228k. this came with the programs
Sonic MYDVD and PowerDVD. In Sonic MyDVD i inserted MPEG2 movies that i made with Ulead Video studio V6 and burnt it on a DVD+RW.
(i got at the first attempt a pop-up from nero with some message i do not
exactly recall "INCD" and FORMAT DISC- but i'm not familiar with this term)

After burning it won't play in my DVD rom player (Sony) but in nero i can see that there is an audio and video file on the DVD+RW. I erased the DVD+RW in nero (full erase) and tried to burn it again now using Ulead Movie Factory.
Movie Factory gives the message on the same files that they are not DVD compliant so i converted them in MF and started burning. Then MF says that the disc is not empty???? do you want to erase? = YES=
after this the disc still doesn't play in DVD ROM

It looks like the disc isn't empty and still has a format of the first burned mpeg files witch where probably not DVD compliant but SONIC however did burn it on the disc. I tried another DVD+RW disc with the same problem.
What am I doing wrong?
how can I fully erase these discs?
is this due to DVD+RW?

I hesitating to burn these files on DVD+R.

please help
