I downloaded this movie and originally I could only play the video but it couldn't play the audio. I installed the NiMo codecs (divx codecs 3,4 and 5 already installed before) and audio became available but for some reason playing the movie would periodically bring my CPU usage to 100%, making watching some sequences a chore. I am trying to convert the audio to a more standard format (mp3 layer 3 audio), but virtualdub won't allow any conversion. It returns an error:
The requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format. Check that the sampling rate and the channel count of the input match those of the requested format.
The weird thing is that I did just that (I set channel to stereo and sampling to 48000 Hz) but still it won't allow conversion.
Checking the file information from virtual dub, it says 48000Hz, stereo, but indicates the audio is unknown.
Is there any way I can convert this unknown audio format or is there a proper codec around to play it such that it can be played smoothly?
Thanks.

come to think of it, the movie does have [ac3] on its filename. thanks.
is there a beginner's (or more blatantly, a dummy's) guide to using besweet or its gui? i was trying to rough it with the gui but I can't find the button which will actually run the procedure.
