help convert my jpeg to format for vcd

wanting to make slideshows to be veiwed on vcd's in my stand alone dvd player. How and to what format should I be converting them to? Also, the cd burning software I use will create slideshows but doesnt tell me what format they are recorded in. They do not work in any player Ive tried, but I can view them on my computer, when left on the hard drive. Ive tried Roxios platinum ezcd creator. Can I use the slideshow created here and use vcd easy to format them into dvd friendly format?

Nero is a very good program for making those slideshows, you don't need to convert ANYTHING... You just drag your JPEGs GIFs BMPs or WHATEVER to the vcd part, burn and it's done
