    Hi is it possible to play a svcd on a dvd player which only can play dvd & vcd?

    Maybe, try this http://www.geocities.com/newestmoviesencode/dvdvcd no reencoding but you just change the first headers to a vcd.

    tried that it still ends up being a vcd with crappy quality & the picture looks zoomed in & stuff like that

    Then buy a new player that support SVCDs.

    Or you could reencode to xvcd or something....probably not worth it.
