I have burned a dvd from dvd architect for a friend. It checked fine in my player, but when she played it in hers, there was no audio. This has never happened with any disc I've finished. Are there different settings I should use? I use AC-3 when rendering in architect.
    Thanks!

    According to https://www.videohelp.com/dvd#tech :
    Audio:
    48000 Hz
    32 - 1536 kbps
Up to 8 audio tracks containing Dolby Digital, DTS, PCM(uncompressed audio), MPEG-1 Layer2. One audio track must have MPEG-1, DD or PCM Audio.
What were the exact settings you used ? (GSpot one of the VOBs)
    If in doubt, Google it.

Before doubting your own work, have you actually tried the DVD at her place and checked her setup ?

The number of times family and friends have told me something doesn't work, and I have had to spend time pulling their setup apart and putting it back together correctly. To date the problem has never been my discs.

My settings were 224 bitrate, 44,100 hz, layer 2,
The dvd did play in 2 of her friends players & in mine. I never have had
to change my settings on a project before so any help is appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Layer 2 - do you mean MP2 ?

If so, then it's possibly just a really anal dvd player. The DVD spec says that the sample rate must be 48KHz for a start, and you would also be better off sticking to AC3 strictly for compliance reasons also, as I believe that it has come up here before regarding NTSC and only MP2 audio. PAL and MP2 audio seems to be OK IIRC.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Yes, meant MP2. I'll try those settings. It was the audio only; the video played fine so, I
    bet it's her player. [/i]

44,100 is NOT dvd compliant audio, dvd's MUST have 48000 Hz audio to be compliant.
