  1. Hi:

    I'm using DVD2SVCD 1.0.9b3 for converting DVD to VCD / SVCD.
    The problem is:
    --> In the bitrate tab I select 2 CD's of 800 Mb.
    --> I put DVD2SVCD to work

    DVD2SVCD creates 2 MPG's bigger than expected as Nero tells me that the file doesn't fit.

    Then I have to open bbMpeg, load the .mpv and the .mp2 files, and mux it again. I load the bbmpeg....ini file created by DVD2SVCD and I change the Max File Size from 796 to 794. And that's enough.
    Now 3 files are created (the first 2 fit in one CD each amd the 3rd one is just 38 seconds from the end of the film, the credits).
    But I'd like not to hace to do it this way. I want bbmpeg to multiplex to 794 Mb as maximun. But if I change the ini file, the next time DVD2SVCD runs, it overwrites it.

    Can anybody help me???

    PD: Last time, I converted "Juana La Loca" a spanish film 1:53:24 , to XSVCD (MPEG2, 720x576, PAL, CBR, 1 track audio 128 bits 48KHz).

  2. I am having the same issue with this lastest drop of DVD2SVCD.

    I tried changing the bit rates / mins per CD it does not seem to effect the 784 MB cut point that DVD2SVCd is using for its calculations for the avg bit rate he will used ot the CD cut point.

    I try to add a menu that goes to file and to a episode guide. There is not enough room to add even a MPG after DVD2SVCD converts it.

    Any help ! Thanks.

  4. esset, what are you referring to when you say your "chapters" are one Gig in size?

    -- what is the length of your movie?
    -- what bit rates are you using?
    -- what format are you converting to? DVD VCD SVCD

    is it wrong or is it something else ?

    thanks for the help !

  6. You need to change it in the DVD2SVCD settings before you start. I usually set mine at 795MB.

    DVD2SVCD doesn't just use this for bbMpeg, it uses this number to calculate the bitrate of the encoded video. Since you're working with files that were already encoded with a different setting, yes you'll get a little third file. You could start all over again with the CD size set to 795, if you want to avoid that.
