I have a ATI Wonder VE capture card. I installed the driver from SourceForge and every time I try to capture using VirtualDub, I get an error saying "Error 418: Capture driver is not installed". I downloaded the program AmCap and I'm getting video and audio perfect through it. I also tried to launch the horrible ATI software that came with the card, and it doesn't work, so I know the driver took. What am I doing wrong? I have done just about everything I know to do. Anyone have an idea? I am very new to this, and my ultimate tv hard drive is about to explode! Thanks.

I am also having this exact problem, and it started mysteriously one day. I'm using a Pinnacle PCTVpro card. I have an e-mail in to the creator of Vdub, I'll post here if he replies.
Ciao, all.

Have you installed the WDM/VFM wrapper for ATI?
try searching these forums for the file or just do google and look for wrapper.zip
I had the same problem with vdub and my ati aiw radeon card but when I download that file from one of the link in this forum, it solved everything. You might have the file installed in your system folder already by another program but you need the one in the forum.
Try it and see if it works or not.
