I have just managed to frameserv from VDub to TMPGenc but with some weired thingies.
When I try to set the VDR file as Video source in TMPGenc it freezed and TMPGenc stops responding, but not always. I wonder if it has somethign to do with that I don't start on the first frame from Virtual Dub... I have selected a range in the middle of the movie. Can that be a problem? Or does this depend on something else?

I had the same problem. Deinstall the VFP plugin for TMPGenc with the batch file included with the plugin, then reinstall using the install batch file. Be sure to use the plugin for wahtever version of TMPGenc you have. In the Environmental settings menu of TMPGenc, increase the reader to priority zero. The only one that should be less than zero is the AVI VFW compatibility reader. Deinstall and reinstall the frameserver in Virtdub, using Auxsetup.exe. All of these actions will take less than a couple of minutes, and made frame serving consistent for me. If it quits again, redo the above. Apparently either the frameserver or the VFP plugin gets corrupted somehow, and needs to be reinstalled periodically.
