  1. Grrr! Another issue!

I cant get ac3 to import into DVDmaestro, yet the same streams work fine in Ulead DVDworkshop.

The AC3 streams were exported from AVI's with VirtualDubAC3, and play fine in wmp.

    The actual error is:

Unsupported Media: Invalid Wave Format (only WAVE_FORMAT_PCM format is supported) (0xc10b0008)

I've tried renaming the ac3 to mpa - no joy.

Dammit Dammit Dammit! One problem after another, so far got around each one so far.
    Now this.

    Any ideas?

That is a problem with the high quality programs - they seem to be overly concerned about a properly encoded file that meets the DVD standard. The "junk" programs, like all of Ulead's stuff, don't seem to know what is required for the standard, so will let anything through.

My suggestion to you, is to get your .AC3 file with the correct header / correct encoding.

  3. Hi,

Had that problem myself, Try using a program called AC3fix
to sort out any bad frames in the .ac3 file.

first rename the extracted file as an .ac3 and run that little prog.

i've had this problem when i've extracted .ac3 files using virtualdub,
normal it seems to be when the original .ac3 file has been split into
    2 halves.
