  1. I'm just getting into putting downloaded movies onto CDs. I have a few that are too long to fit on one CD. Where do I go to cut the time so I can use two CDs, or make it smaller to fit one CD?
    Thanks,

If you try to make the mpeg smaller to fit the disk (XVCD, 1 disk template) it may no longer play on your DVD player. Or even if it did, it may not play on others/new DVD player, they will also have lower quality.

In TMPGEnc select File > Mpeg tools

    1, Now click the Merge&cut
2, Select "MPEG 1 Video CD" from the drop down list
3, Click the ADD button to add your move
4, Highlight your movie in the box and click edit
5, Now move the slider to the end to get the playing time
6, Now move to half of the playing time in the middle and click } (Mark end) Click OK

7, Type the name and location into the output box (c:\part1.mpg) and click start

Do the same for part 2
