hello when i watch avi files the sound comes before the pictures.. and it it jumps or chops or lags or some of them..

Dude, where do you watch them? On your PC, on your TV after you turned them into MPEGs and burned them to a VCD or what? Give us some more details, please.
My guesses for either case: On the PC, it could just be that your machine is too weak and needs more RAM or a faster CPU to play movies back in an acceptable fashion.
If it's a VCD in a DVD player: This occurs, when you didn't choose 44.1 as sampling rate during conversion, but some other value the player can't handle. Happened to me once.
