    Hello,

I had this card a year ago. I asked Dazzle that same question. Answer...That is the highest it will capture at. I also had quite a bit of problem with frame drops. I sold it on ebay and got a Dazzle DVCII for about $200 (also on ebay) and I am very happy with it. You can capture at much higher rates. The editor sucks but there are many other out there to use.

I have a few of these...well, I think I do... Is yours a little rectangle with the USB port on one end, and then the in/out ports perpendicutlar to it? If so, you CANNOT capture over 352x288. Even if you somehow manage to get it higher, its not the most powerful capture card, and it will drop many frames.

I don't know what software you use, but when I used mine, I had Ulead Video Studio 3.0. I could get 320x240x20FPS easilly. 320x240x30FPS would drop some frames, but it still looked pretty good.

  5. ALL USB devices that does not have a hardware mpeg encoder has a max limit of 320x240. Also, the video is compressed about 200 times even when you select 24 bit uncompressed AVI!
