Ripping dvd tv series that has subtitles (Escaflowne). Reencoding to 352x480 (half D1) to fit 26 eps over 3 dvds at good quality (it works too).
Problem is, the subtitles I rip (Subripper 1.06) rip at 720x480, and there's no option to adjust size. Importing them into DVD Maestro to compile leaves me with half a screen of subtitles over the full movie. I think that Maestro is reading them right and shows me them correctly when I go to edit subtitles for instance, but then watching in Power DVD post-compilation, I lose the subtitles. Can Power DVD not handle the dif sized subtitles and resize them to the correct resolution? If so, I need to resize them myself, cause I doubt other set top players could do so either.
Just wondered if anyone had any advice or similar situations overcome. I know it's a pretty rare type of rip, but had to ask. the only thing I can think to do is resize the 384 bitmaps to 352x480, but I really would not enjoy doing them one by one, especially if it doesnt solve my problem.
