  1. hello all

i have frameserved an avi with the subtitles to tmpgenc

i coded to mpeg but it tool the whole night.
    is this usual ??

how can i burn the subtitles permanently on an avi file with virtualdub. so that frameserving can be skipped , I think ?

    thanks in advance

    yes, all night sounds right.

and for the subtitles, one way is to save as avi in vdub then encode the avi. this eliminates the frameserving part but the overall time you save will be debatable. maybe if you use fast recompress in vdub it might save some time but it might also affect quality. i think frameserving is the best way but i'm sure you will get a few more post soon.

  3. thanks a lot

    got a new one.

i can see this movie on MicroDVD and the subtitles are on sync. when dubbing, the subtitles are ahead about 20 secs. right from the beginning ?
sounds familiar ?? how can this be fixed.

    thanks again

  4. i've been hearing it takes all night to encode with tmpeg. I downloaded tmpeg like a week ago and it only takes the whole night if i am encoding 3 whole movies. thats 2 parts per movie.

  5. ok.

if i encode from a file, it takes one or two hours. but if i encode from frameserve, then it takes a lot of time.

    tks
