    hey,
i am new to this vcd type of stuff so i need help. i made a vcd, using TMPGEnc i encoded in ntcs and burned it with nero, but the problem is i put it in my dad's dvd player(sanyo) and the audio and video like i don't know how to put it besides "stutters" it like freezes for a few seconds then plays again. i think it's my dad's dvd player cuz my dvd player on my comp worked just fine. but help me out with your suggestions. also how can i make it so that i can have it play in my ps2?

The best thing to do is to lookup your Dad's DVD Player in the DVD Player comparison list on this site. It may be that the CD-R's you are using are not compatible with that make of player. Then you would have to burn it on a different type of media. Have you tried playing the VCD on your PC directly? If you do, and it works, then it most certainly is a media problem. Don't forget to read the comments of users (on the far right) as they will give you some good extra information.

As for your PS2 ... sorry can't help you there.

  3. Well from what you first discribe I would suggest checking the field order (odd or even first), as most of the time if I make a VCD that will play, but 'skips/stutters' that's the problem.

But then you say it played fine on your PC so I'm not sure... Still worth trying thou.
