  1. I have burned Ritek 4X DVD-R with no problems but I am having problems with Princo DVD-RW after they are burned. They burn and format with no problem but the burner does not see them in the drive after that. I used Ulead Movie Factory with them and every thing went great. Again drive say,s please insert disk when it is already there?

    Any suggestions please.

  3. Some people do have Poblems with Princo's using the 105, I would just stay away from that cheap media and stick with Riteks what I use and never have had a problem with them.

  4. same problem here. the 105 can write, but cannot read (?), the princo dvd-rw. the disk should be readable in other dvd-rom drives (and even my dvd player).

question: if you insert the burned princo dvd-rw into a regular dvd-rom drive, does the drive make a strange cracking noise (like it is trying to recalibrate the head) before reading the disk?

    thx

This problem is solved with the new firmware (v1.2x, 12/24/02) from Pioneer's webpage.

You may need to update it again. I had this EXACT problem with my 105 fresh out of the box in late December, updated, problem solved. All media read fine now. Unless you've got a third-party firmware or something odd like that (Cendyne/Sony/Apple/etc) in your 105, I don't know what else to suggest...

    Good luck!

  10. I found problem--I deinstalled software for" VOB program and CDclone " removing elaborate bytes software and started to read DVD-RW. I will have to try each program seperately to see which one screws up. Thanks for any help though.
