  1. is there a way to get powerdvd to play divx movies i have all of the divx codec's installed (i am running xp)

  2. No, PowerDVD is an MPEG2 decoder.

  3. PowerDVD can play divx movie if you have all the required codes. What you have might not enough especially if you mean you have only Divx5 or divx3.1 alpha. I would recommend you to try Nimo pack code, you can intall only Basic Option, don't have to install everything from it.

    If ya have all the right codec's installed, startup POWERDVD on the control panel just to the left of the PLAY button, there is a smaller button.

    This is the select media button, open that up and go down to OPEN MEDIA FILES. browse to where your DIVX is, highlight your DIVX and then press the ADD button on the bottem left, then click OK.

    POWERDVD should now play the Divx

    Providing you have all the correct codecs installed
