I'm not sure if powerdvd 7.3 supports mounted iso...maybe you need 7.2.

Or try mount with virtual clonedrive.

Or try play with Arcsoft TotalMedia Theatre.

  3. If possible, test the problem by making a smaller sample video and burning the HDDVD structure onto a DVD, then try playing the actual disk.

HDDVD is a royal PITA, very few softwares support playback, they may very well be picky about playing a mounted image.

PowerDVD took away the ability to play high def (if not all) ISOs a long time ago. I think 7.1 or 7.2 was the last version that could do it.

I second what Nelson37 says. Why are you even dealing with HD DVD anymore?

They removed hd-dvd and blu-ray iso support in newer powerdvd versions but dvd isos will probably still work fine.
