  1. Using Adobe Premire i have found that the extracted audio file seems to remain at 30fps i need to change the rate to 29.97fps. I have stretched the audio file to fit the length of the converted avi file. The audio is in sync for about two minutes, enough to think the audio stretch worked, but as it continues to play it gradually goes more and more out of sync.

Is it possible that the frame rate could be the problem. I have even tried to fix the mpeg in MPEG-Corrector didn't work. I also noticed that after the fix when I try to demultiplex it I get a padding stream instead of the video and audio files. I save this padding stream and I get a file called 0BxE.dat What is this?
