i have a texas instruments OHCI compliant IEEE 1394 HOST controller
question is can i use this in with ADVC 100 / 50 to capture analog/digital video?
also if i use the above setup ,,, will i get better quality captures than just capturing from my firewire card or through my dazzle pci card?
thanks

Yes, but the video is 24 bit uncompressed, NOT DV compressed video. So, you will need a DV codec and a really fast PC to encode the uncompressed video in real-time to DV and save it to the hard drive.
