  1. I'm having trouble with those crappy movies that I get from Kazaa.com. I was wondering if it was possible for me to deinterlace a 20 fps .avi movie and interlace it once again at 23.976? I haven't even tried it yet but I suspect I wuld get sum problems with the sound being out of sync. I am open to all ideas no matter how radical they may seem.

    Thanks

Deinterlacing is the process of converting interlaced video into progressive. Some deinterlacing methods do adjust the framerate as a side effect but this is only to produce 50fps or 60fps progressive video.

You don't say if your objective is to produce a (S)VCD or to simply adjust the framerate.

Please repost a more detailed request in the Newbie Conversion forum.
