  1. WinXP
Asus Geforce 6600 with latest Vidia drivers
Have been capturing with this card OK but now there is a wide white band across the middle third of the captured video, not there when previewing, only when the captured video is played. Occurs with all capture software and does not happen when capturing from other device ie webcam.
    Any help appreciated.

  2. Sounds like it's protected with macrovision. Have you looked for patch to disabled macrovision?

  4. I am also getting a white band with a 4600 product. I posted the following to MSI's forum thinking it might be driver issue.

I'm using the GeForceTi4600 -VTD card to capture analog home movies. I keep getting a large white band through the middle of the capture. I'm not dropping frames and otherwise the capture is going well.

This has happened when using Ulead DVD Workshop and Adobe Premiere 6.5. The source video is just a home movie so there is no protection feature on it.

The white band shows up in the AVI file so its not just a matter of seeing it in the preview windows.

    I'm using driver nv4_disp version 6.13.10.3100. The OS is Win2K SP3.

Any thoughts? I'm brand new to this so am struggling with a lot of variables. Thanks in advance.

  5. I've experienced this too before so I recommend you to try using WDM capture driver ver. 1.08. This works for me... hope this works for you too

  6. Found the problem, its the latest nVidia WDM driver, 1.16 I think. Dump it and go back to ver 1.08 and problem solved!
