Thanks, but i'm looking for prices LOWER than $250.00

I saw the AV Logic pricing, but they are a very weird company.
If you search their price via www.pricewatch.com you get a
    price of $235.00 http://avlogic.com/product.cgi?code=11121754

If you search via www.pricegrabber.com you get a price of
    $249.00 http://avlogic.com/product.cgi?code=19121752

If you search direct on their website, you get prices of $289.00
    and $349.00

Obviously they give you a cheaper price, if u follow the link from
    PRICEWATCH OR PRICEGRABBER

  5. I dont' think they give different prices ... I think each of those things is a different product or packaging. I tried searching the site and get all those different prices.

Switching topics slightly ... does anyone know the difference in the 104 and A04 ? Looking for a burner myself.

  6. can't expect much cheaper than 250 right now.

wait another 3 months, then it'd be like 225.

No diff at all in the dirves, just that the 104 comes without the
software, while the A04 comes with it.

And those are all the same drive, with diff prices. Most places give
you a discount if you order from the pricewatch or pricegrab sites.

I think the $349.00 price is for the A03, while the others are ALL
A04/104, even the manufacturers produc # is the same.

  8. I bought mine last week from ESbuy.com w/ S/W for $265. I got the software pack, b/c $20 is not much for 1)Sonic MyDVD 2) Cyberlink PowerDVD 3)Veritas RecordNow DX (not to mention 1 of each blank DVD-R and DVD-RW). It also came packaged with ATA and audio cables, and the Pioneer manual. I LOVE THIS DRIVE!

BTW, I've never ordered from them (ESBuy.com) before, but they were FAST. I'd definately recommend them to anyone.

Cool. . .I feel confident that you'll not be sorry. Now, time to read some other posts about inexpensive DVD-R's. I bought some Imation's from CompUSA last week for $3.49 each (in jewel box), and they work great. You'll learn to love the DVD-RW that comes with the drive. . .it saves you from wasting a DVD-R. I've already done about 15 "test" burns with mine. Only prob is it takes a while to burn (1x DVD-RW = 9x CD-R for speed).

Just add @yahoo.com to my ID and send me an email if you have any more questions.
